Comments
When visitors leave comments on this site we collect your name and email address, with the option of leaving a link to your website. We also collect your IP address and browser agent to help in spam detection. This information will only be used to respond to your comment. We will not contact you outside of this, or use your information to send marketing emails.
An anonymised string created from your email address (also called a hash) may be provided to the Gravatar service to see if you are using it. Contact forms
When you use the contact form you are required to fill in your name and email address. We will also collect your IP address and browser agent to help in spam detection. This data will only be used to respond to your query. If your query requires no response, your data will be deleted within 7 working days. We will not use this data to send marketing emails.

Mediavine – Mediavine is our advertising partner. They use Google Analytics to provide you with adverts which may interest you or relate to sites that you have previously visited. WordPress – This is a self-hosted WordPress site. We mainly use third party applications to collect data. However, WordPress do collect the data you put into the comment form; your name, email address and website, if entered. Collective Bias – We sometimes work with Collective Bias on paid campaigns which help with the running costs of this site. They are a company which act as an intermediary between this site and third parties. They collect IP address, cookies, browser information and site analytics to see how a campaign is performing. HOW LONG WE RETAIN YOUR DATA
For contact form queries, we only keep your personal information if a response is required. If no response is required, we delete your information within 7 working days. If your email does require a response, your personal information will be kept for 30 days and then deleted.
Google Analytics keeps data for 26 months.
Mediavine keeps data for 13 months.
If you leave a comment on this site, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so we can recognise and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.
For users that register on our website (if any), we also store the personal information they provide in their user profile. All users can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time (except they cannot change their username). Website administrators can also see and edit that information.

Cloudflare will hold multiple copies of the site within their data centres to facilitate their role as a content delivery network.

This site uses two factor authentication for administrators to log in and we work hard to protect all data which could be used to identify you. Unfortunately, no data transmission can be 100% secure. Whilst we employ precautions to ensure the security of your information and work hard to ensure third parties we use do the same, we are not responsible for the actions of third parties.
If there are any data breaches on our site, we will immediately notify you.
