HAPPY FRIDAY!
Welcome to this week’s Pretty Pintastic Party folks!
Sorry it’s been quiet here, last week Mr AN was away on a course, so I was bogged down with house and dog stuff and since he got back, Poppy has been so up and down. She really has issues with change and then became really clingy too.
Last weekend I was up with her every single hour as she would sleep for an hour, then sit up and pant and moan. We didn’t know if it was pain or just her acting up because it was his first night back. Looking back, we think it was behavioral, but at the time I just wanted her to settle. We let her on the bed as that stopped her walking around, then she stretched out more and more and I ended up with just my torso in the bed and my legs on the floor!!!
But she was sleeping, so I just put up with being uncomfortable. I’ve felt like a zombie most of this week, surviving on very little sleep and having to prioritise client work with the energy I did have.
We had to give her calming medication Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday to help settle her which we don’t like doing, but if she doesn’t settle she ends up in pain even if she didn’t start out pacing because of pain. Such a circle. Anyway, she seems to be back to normal now, OK with Mr AN going to work and back into her evening routine, so I should be back to normal on the blog next week!
