We’ve had what F1 and BTCC fans would probably call a disaster, a clash! Thank the Lord for Sky+ without which I would’ve either missed, my favourite driver be knocked out of the race with two laps to go in F1, or an adrenaline pumped BTCC race. As it happens, we watched the first touring car race, then the F1 and then recorded the second touring car race to watch about 15 minutes behind schedule!
Phew!
Somewhere in between that I managed a workout, though I still need to do another one before bed and I’m now watching the third and final touring car race of the day, whilst typing this. Check out my multi-tasking! I love being a woman…
Then tonight we have England playing in Euro 2012. Now, I am not a football fan normally, I don’t have a team, I don’t watch it religiously and although I can be seen as tomboy-ish what with my love of petrol, I can also be a complete girly girl with baking, clothes, make-up etc. I would never choose to watch football normally, but if there’s a world cup or if it’s Euro 2012 I do usually watch some matches and I really don’t mind.
My mum was saying to me last night, “Ugh, how do you sit through it?” I think, in all honesty, it’s because my other half isn’t that interested in football either so I’m not forced to watch it every night. So I really don’t mind when he does want to watch it, in fact I’m quite looking forward to it. Yes, we’ll probably lose, but that’s not the point. It’s a bit of TV that you don’t really have to concentrate on, so I can be online as well and only have to really look up when the commentators get really excited 🙂
I’m off to be a stereotypical Brit and sit in front of the television watching football all night.
