My slight addiction to Pinterest and everything else…

14.6.12 By Annie N

I hadn’t really heard of Pinterest until a few months ago. Well, I’d seen lots of “pin it” buttons, but had no idea what it was, then a friend of mine send me an invite and an addiction started.

I believe I have an addictive personality. I go through phases where I am addicted to reading, then it’ll be The Sims (yea I’m a grown up really), or I’ll become obsessed with eating a certain food. I really can’t forget the Special K addiction when I went through about 3 boxes a week and ate nothing but. Funnily enough, since then I’ve barely touched the stuff, think I’ve Special K’ed myself out! There was the strawberry milkshake obsession, obsession with buying stationary stuff, the list goes on and on…

There are only a few things that don’t seem to be phases and that I really stick to, my boyfriend which I’m sure he’ll be glad to hear, baking, reading and interior design. Everything else comes in phases.

At the moment it’s Pinterest, I can waste hours pinning things, I’m sure I well and truly irritate everyone on Facebook when a notification comes up that I’ve pinned 124 things…

I just love pretty pictures of cakes and food and clothes though! It’s like a virtual wardrobe almost, I pin everything I want (and can’t afford) and also I get recipe inspiration from pins of cakes. And since I have the memory of a sieve it’s also a way for me to make lists 🙂

I’m also absolutely in love with buying baking stuff, in every shop we go to I have to look at what baking stuff they have, I have quite a collection of tins and cupcake cases, sprinkles, food colouring, flavourings, flour, sugar, God knows, I’ve not actually been through all my stuff recently and sometimes when I do go through stuff it’s like early Christmas when I find something I didn’t know I had!

I think my boyfriend has got used to my addictive tendencies now and he now doesn’t bat an eyelid when I announce my newest phases 🙂

Anyone else like this, or am I the only one??
