Hi everyone, today I have some gorgeous makeup to share with you today in my Spring Makeup Must Haves. Spring is officially here in the UK and I’m so happy to start looking alive again!
I love nothing more than a change of seasons. In the Autumn I’m all over mauves and plums, in Winter I go quite nude with my makeup, but when Spring rolls around, I find myself picking out peaches, pinks and corals.
There’s something about a coral blush in Spring, I can’t help myself. It’s like every other colour in my collection is sidelined for a few months as I crave brighter, lively colours that are going to make me look healthy.
I would love to say that in Summer I go all bronzed, but with this skin tone, that’s not happening, so I continue with my corals and pinks haha! I do change my makeup in Summer though, but that’s more my base. That’s for another post though.
Today, we are concentrating on my Spring Makeup Must Haves. I’m going to share a couple of foundations that I just love this time of year. After a winter of my skin being dull and dry, I want light, glowy bases in Spring that make me look healthy. I have some peachy lipsticks, blushes and a couple of eyeshadow palettes that have the perfect colours for Spring in them.
So let’s get into it…

CHARLOTTE TILBURY LIGHT WONDER FOUNDATION – £34 from John Lewis
This foundation is so gorgeous. It’s lightweight and glowy; it makes your skin look so healthy and radiant. It gives you that real “lit from within” look.
Although this product is not new out, it’s pretty new to my collection. I got it in January after hearing about it for years. I’m glad I purchased it because it really is beautiful! It blends easily, evens out your skin and looks seamless on the skin. It’s hydrating and doesn’t cling to dry patches either which makes it perfect for Spring. I don’t know about you, but coming out of winter my skin is still a little flaky and dull, so this product is the perfect helping hand!
It’s not the longest wearing foundation I own, but I still love it for how it looks on the skin. It’s just perfect for warm, sunny days as it doesn’t feel heavy on the skin at all. If the Charlotte Tilbury isn’t in your budget, No7 do a similar foundation to this called the HydraLuminous. It’s not quite as lightweight, but the finish is very similar.
GUERLAIN L’ESSENTIEL NATURAL GLOW FOUNDATION – £44 from John Lewis
Oh, how I love this foundation. It is stunning. It’s expensive, but worth every penny. It’s really long wearing and the perfect addition to your sping makeup bag!
It does have a scent to it, so if you’re sensitive to that, just beware. However, if that doesn’t bother you, I would highly recommend this foundation.
This gives a good medium coverage, you can build it up and sheer it out easily, so it’s versatile. I tend to just do one pump and have a sheer layer on my skin in the Spring. It makes you looks so healthy and is also hydrating. This is another foundation which doesn’t cling to dry patches, but it lasts longer than the Charlotte Tilbury (on my face at least).
The main difference between this and the Light Wonder is coverage – the Light Wonder is light coverage and you can’t build it up that much. This one you can, so it’s down to what you’re looking for in a foundation. Both of these deserve their place in my Spring Makeup Must Haves though as they encompass everything I want in a Spring foundation.
VISEART TRYST EYESHADOW PALETTE – £38 from Selfridges
I’ve picked the cheapest price I could find for this palette as it seems to vary which is odd. These palettes always used to be one price everywhere, but I think the price has gone up recently, so if you want to get it at this price, I’d hurry! It’s £42-43 everywhere else!
Viseart eyeshadows are some of my favourite, they are beautiful. They used to only do 12 pan palettes because they started as a brand for makeup artists. However, in the last couple of years they have started releasing some smaller, more affordable palettes. They do mini palettes which are the size of credit cards and 12 pan “edit” palettes now.
However, this Tryst palette is a favourite for me, it’s gorgeous and perfect for travel. It has everything you need for Spring eye looks. Peaches, pinks, golds and a purple. This is a pretty versatile palette for its size. I have a couple of other palettes I’m about to mention which are very peach toned, but this one does have a mix. The mattes are gorgeous and so are the shimmers. Sometimes I just put a shimmer over my lid for a really simple eye look and these colours are just stunning.
HOLIKA HOLIKA GRAPEFRUIT TARTE EYESHADOW PALETTE – £10 from YesStyle
These little quads are great. I have all three and the pigmentation is really good. The satin shades are particularly pretty. In K Beauty they wear eyeshadow differently than over here. They prefer sheer washes of colour, so a lot of times people think their eyeshadows aren’t pigmented. However, these ones are. They’re smooth and easy to blend and I love the shades in this Grapefruit Tarte one.
You can sheer them out, but they can be brighter too. I think this palette is so fun for Spring and even though there are only 4 shades, it’s fairly versatile. There are two more nude shades, so you could have a nude look or a more colourful one.
TOO FACED SWEET PEACH EYESHADOW PALETTE – £39 from Look Fantastic
This palette is a classic. It’s been out for years, but when it first came out it broke the internet! It was limited edition to begin with and I missed out the first time. When they brought it back and it became permanent I got it as a birthday present from my grandmother.
There’s a lot more depth in this palette than the others I’ve shown, but that’s because there are way more shades. You can definitely get a variety of looks in this palette, from really peachy, to more nude, to dark and smoky. I love all the colours in this palette and it smells like peaches!
I know scented makeup is a love it or hate it kind of thing, but I do think this is quite fun. It’s not a fresh peach scent, it’s more like peach sweets. It’s quite nice, but very strong. It’s actually made other palettes I’ve stored it next to smell like peach!
CLINIQUE CHEEK POP BLUSH IN MELON POP – £18 from John Lewis
These Clinique Cheek Pop blushes are so fun and this one was always going to be in my Spring Makeup Must Haves. I love the fact they look like flowers and the colours are beautiful. This blush is everything I want from a Spring blush. It isn’t glittery, it’s more satin and the formula is buildable. They last really well and look natural, but radiant on the skin.
I wore this blush non stop last year and it’s going to happen this year too, I just love it!
HOURGLASS AMBIENT LIGHTING BLUSH IN INCANDESCENT ELECTRA – £38 from John Lewis
I know I go on and on about these Hourglass blushes, but they really are fabulous. I adore every colour, but in Spring I flit between this shade and Diffused Heat. Diffused Heat is slightly brighter than this one, so it just depends what you want from a blush.
This blush is beautiful, it looks quite peach in the pan, but goes on with a hint of pink. These last all day and are fool proof. They blend seamlessly and aren’t glittery. I would take all of my Hourglass blushes to my grave if I could, I love them that much!
THE SAEM SINGLE BLUSHER – £4.44 from YesStyle
These blushes are great and very affordable. This is a shimmey pink, but it goes on with a hint of peach. It’s the most pink blush in my Spring Makeup Must Haves, but I love wearing it as it looks so gorgeous. It’s one of those blushes that will go with anything and whenever I can’t find a blush to go with a look I pick this one!
MAYBELLINE MASTER CHROME HIGHLIGHTER IN MOLTEN ROSE GOLD – £8.99 from Superdrug
These higlighters are absolutely stunning. They are the best drugstore highlighters I own and this rose gold colour is the only rose gold colour I can wear! Most other brands who make a rose gold highlighter make it too dark for my pale skin.
These can certainly be blinding, but you can sheer them out too. They are so easy to work with and last all day long. I have three colours now, but I find myself wearing this one the most right now as it goes with my favourite Spring blushes. It doesn’t pull too pink, but just gives a hint of pink. I’m so glad I tried these highlighters because they rival all of my high end ones and I have fallen head over heals for these highlighters!
KIKO SMART FUSION LIPSTICK IN 406 – £3.99 from Kiko Cosmetics
These lipsticks are fantastic and only £4! I first tried them when we were on holiday last year and I found a Kiko shop near our hotel. It started a love affair with Kiko and I have found some gems since then. I have numerous shades of these Smart Fusion lipsticks and I wear them all the time.
This lipstick is called Warm Rose and it’s definitely pink. However, it pulls slightly peach on me and is one of those colours that makes me look alive and healthy.
BURBERRY KISSES LIPSTICK IN NUDE PINK – £27 from Look Fantastic
Now, this might be named Nude Pink, but it’s definitely a bit more coral. Let me tell you I was quite surprised when this arrived because it is not what I would call nude. I also have the shade English Rose and that is a nude pink. This one however, is perfect for Spring. It looks stunning with the Clinique Melon Pop blush.
The formula of these is fantastic, opaque with a healthy sheen and they wear really well too. I think these lipsticks are under rated as I don’t really hear about them. They are worth trying though, there are many shades and they are beautiful lipsticks.
MAC LOVE ME LIPSTICK IN TRES BLASE – £19 from John Lewis
When these lipsticks were released last year, I fell in love immediately. This lipstick formula came in and went straight to the top of my favourite ever formula. These are a satin lipstick, moisturising, opaque, but they never look flat or heavy on the lips. I love how these manage to be satin, but they don’t sink into any lines. I have 3 or 4 colours from this range and I love them all.
This shade is in my Spring Makeup bag though, it’s gorgeous and goes with anything else I’ve mentioned here. It’s perfect for dropping in your handbag as you can put it on and forget it. Now, I love my cremesheen and lustre formulas from MAC, but since these came out I have to say, they’ve probably overtaken the lustre formula for me!
CHARLOTTE TILBURY HOT LIPS 2 LIPSTICK IN DANCEFLOOR PRINCESS – £28 from John Lewis
This is the most pink lipstick in my Spring makeup bag. I adore this shade on me though. I have to be careful going too pink as it can look a bit weird on me and when this arrived and I looked at it I was worried it might be a bit too pink. I’m glad I was wrong because this lipstick is gorgeous. I love the Hot Lips formula, it’s creamy and easy to wear.
This is my most worn lipstick from Charlotte Tilbury, it’s one of those that pulls differently on different skin tones and on me it’s the perfect amount of pink with a bit of nude.
Well… that was intense. I didn’t realise I had so many Spring Makeup Must Haves! I just felt like all of these products were so gorgeous I had to share them with you! Do you have any Spring Makeup Must Haves? Any colours you just can’t get enough of at the moment?
