GOOD MORNING!
Happy Friday and welcome to The Pretty Pintastic Party! I hope you’ve all been having a great week! We’ve been having some crazy weather here in the UK; hail, snow and sunshine all in one day and now it’s relatively warm again with just a slight breeze. I can’t believe it’s almost May and we’re still getting snow!
I want to be baking Summer desserts full of pretty berries and light, delicate flavours, but every time I set up to photograph I’m like “Bleurghhhhh it’s so dull and grey!”
Although… I actually prefer shooting when it’s a grey day as the clouds act as a diffuser for the light, but it’s much nicer to walk Poppy in the sunshine! Harsh sunlight is the bane of a food photographers life. I constantly fight with sunlight coming through my window. Sometimes, I think it likes to play games. It will either get so dark I need lights once I’ve set up, or it will be overcast, yet when I turn the camera on, then sun will miraculously come out and put an ugly glare on all of my set up. So then, I have to get my old bed sheet out, step on my old stool and clip it to the curtain rail with an old set of bulldog clips to diffuse the light. Glamorous, eh?
Anyway, I’m off to fight the light again, have fun linking up this weekend!
