The Pretty Pintastic Party #68

21.8.15 By Annie N

What a week.

I was so nervous, yet hopeful for my appointment yesterday with a back specialist and surgeon. I was really hoping that he could help me and find a solution to the constant agony I’m in. However, I’ve now lost all faith in the medical profession because it was the biggest waste of time ever. He was condescending and basically made it sound like I was making it up.

Then he just said I have hyper mobility and he wants me to have Cognitive Behavioural Therapy. Yea, because talking about it will make my pain go away. He said my MRI showed nothing (apart from the fact everyone else I’ve seen has said it does and I CAN READ myself. I have bone spurs, some of which are pushing on root nerves which I can feel when I try and arch my back, with a load of other stuff too long to write here) and that there’s nothing causing my pain.

Honestly, I feel like giving up.

Anyway, how was your week? Hopefully it was better than mine! Can’t wait to see what you’ve been up to!
